What Would Ike Say?

Hi, I’m Ike Aigbogun · Operations & transformation consultant · Speaker

Stop working around the problem. Start fixing it.

I help business owners and leaders challenge how work gets done, then fix the processes, people and tools behind it. Candid, practical and honest, with your team brought along every step of the way.

Someone asks…

“We bought the software. Why has nothing changed?”

What would Ike say?

“Was the software ever the problem?”

Results for real organisations

60 → 12 hours

Software training cut by 80% for a global consumer goods manufacturer, with faster adoption and fewer support requests.

Hours → minutes

Daily request admin cut by 90–95% for a transport and relocation business, by moving it off paper and email.

Sectors: Manufacturing · Brewery · Construction · Fleet management · Logistics · HSE · Education · and more

Sound familiar?

Everything lives on paper, email and spreadsheets.

Forms get filled in twice, requests get lost, and nobody has the full picture.

You bought the software. Nothing changed.

The tool is live, but people work around it, and the old habits are still running the show.

There’s no real structure to the day to day.

No clear processes, no policies, no ownership, so the same problems come back every week.

Your team is capable, but stuck.

They can see what’s wrong, but don’t feel able to change it, or worry how it will land.

Training takes forever, and nobody remembers it.

Hours of sessions built to create experts, when people just need to use the thing with confidence.

Work reaches leadership before it’s ready.

Meetings that go nowhere and first drafts that disappoint, so leaders lose faith in the team.

I don’t just question things. I challenge them.

Asking “is this true?” is a start. Asking “why is it like this at all, and should it be?” is where things change. Six principles run through everything I do.

01

Challenge what everyone tolerates

The workaround nobody questions is usually where the biggest win is hiding.

02

Go and see for yourself

Sit in the session, read the material, watch the work. Evidence beats opinion.

03

Draft it, then let it be challenged

Put something on the table, then review it together before it reaches leadership, so it lands well first time.

04

Test it with the people who know it best

Bring in the people who know the current way well, or who’ll be affected, before anything goes live.

05

Use the simplest tool that works

A well-built form can beat a big system. Fix the work first, then choose the tools.

06

Respond fast, even without an answer

“I’ve heard you, I’m on it” builds more trust than a perfect reply next week.

What it looks like in practice

A global consumer goods manufacturer

Software training cut from 60 hours to 12

Sites were sitting through 60 hours of vendor training for one platform, and nobody had challenged it. I sat in on sessions, reviewed the materials and stripped out the repetition. We weren’t trying to create platform experts. We needed people who could use it confidently and competently.

I tested the new curriculum with the platform expert who had backed the old one, and coached the project team to bring their work to a high standard before it reached the director, so it landed well every time.

  • Delivered in under 12 hours from the first session
  • Faster, smoother adoption
  • Fewer questions and support requests
  • Less stress for teams and trainers

Move Monkey · Transport, fleet and relocation

From paper and email to a working operation

Brought in by the CEO to steady day-to-day operations. Paper vehicle inspections became a digital check. Requests that used to take all evening to retype from emails into spreadsheets now come in once and are approved in a click, with an instant email back. And the business got its first HR policies, taken through proper review and sign-off.

Just as important, I coach the team. We review work together before it goes to the CEO, so it lands well first time and people grow in confidence.

  • Digital inspections in the fleet workshop
  • Requests captured once, in one place
  • First HR policies through governance
  • Hours of evening admin cut to minutes: a 90–95% time saving
“I’ve worked with Ike for years and I still haven’t found anyone like her. Whenever I need support with the business, she’s the first person I call.”

Speaking & workshops

Technology doesn’t transform organisations. People do.

Organisations buy the tools and expect change. My talks show leaders and teams why that rarely works, and what does: building the confidence and capability for people to use technology well. Audiences leave with a clear view of what’s really holding them back, and practical steps they can take next.

Workshops

Digital capability, digital confidence and digital skills workshops for teams and leaders.

Who I am

Work that runs better, and a team that can keep it that way.

I ask questions, challenge assumptions and find better ways of doing things.

I’m Ike Aigbogun, an operations and transformation consultant and speaker. I work where operations, people and technology meet: reviewing how work really gets done, then designing and putting in place simpler, digital ways of working.

I don’t just hand over a report. I coach the people doing the work, so they grow in confidence and the change lasts. My roots are in health, safety and environment, where I spent over 15 years, so I know what it takes to change how people work on the ground.

I also founded VIGIL, an independent initiative on digital capability.

Why “What Would Ike Say?”

It started with something simple: people bring me a problem, and I have a few questions before I have an answer. What Would Ike Say? is a space for candid thinking about work, people, systems and the everyday things that make us say, “Hang on a minute…”
